Description

Delicious patties filled with creamy mashed potatoes, seasoned ground beef, and gooey cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil for cooking
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef with chopped onion, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper over medium heat until browned. Once cooked, set the beef mixture aside to cool.
  2. In a bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, egg, flour, salt, and pepper. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Take a portion of the potato dough and flatten it in your hand. Place a spoonful of the cooled beef mixture and some shredded cheese in the center.
  4. Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges to form a patty.
  5. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the patties until they are golden and crispy on both sides.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Make sure your mashed potatoes are not too runny. Experiment with different cheeses for unique flavors.
