Ingredients

- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp oil for cooking
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef with chopped onion, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper over medium heat until browned. Once cooked, set the beef mixture aside to cool.
- In a bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, egg, flour, salt, and pepper. Mix until a dough forms.
- Take a portion of the potato dough and flatten it in your hand. Place a spoonful of the cooled beef mixture and some shredded cheese in the center.
- Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges to form a patty.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the patties until they are golden and crispy on both sides.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Make sure your mashed potatoes are not too runny. Experiment with different cheeses for unique flavors.
