Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil for cooking
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef with the onion, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper until the beef is browned. Set aside to cool.
  2. In a bowl, mix the mashed potatoes, egg, flour, salt, and pepper until a dough forms.
  3. Take a portion of the dough, flatten it in your hand, add a spoonful of the beef mixture and some cheese in the center, then fold and seal it to form a patty.
  4. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat and cook the patties until golden and crispy on both sides. Serve hot.
