Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 4 burger buns
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 8–10 minutes until thickened.
- Lightly toast the burger buns.
- Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the bottom buns. Top generously with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Broil for 1–2 minutes until the cheese melts. Add top buns and garnish with parsley.
Notes
Use lean ground beef for a healthier option. Try different cheeses for variety.
