Description

A hearty dish that melds classic cheeseburger flavors with pasta for an easy weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 12 oz rotini or any pasta of choice
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for browning beef)

Instructions

  1. Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot. Add rotini and cook according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil (if needed) and brown the ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder to the beef mixture. Stir and simmer on low heat for 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Mix cooked pasta into the beef sauce until fully coated.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top and cover the skillet. Let sit for 2-3 minutes until cheese melts, or place under the broiler.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding cooked bacon, diced tomatoes, or bell peppers. You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
