Deliciously crispy onion rings filled with gooey mozzarella cheese, perfect as an appetizer or snack.

- 1 large onion, cut into thick rings
- Mozzarella cheese, cut into strips
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Oil, for frying
Instructions
- Pair similar-sized onion rings and stuff the space between them with mozzarella strips. Freeze for 20 minutes.
- Dredge each ring in flour, dip it in beaten egg, and coat it with panko breadcrumbs. Repeat for a thicker crust.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry the rings in batches for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels, season with salt, and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
For a creamier texture, use fresh mozzarella cheese. You can also add spices like garlic powder or paprika to the coating.
