Description

A delicious and easy-to-make casserole featuring ground beef, creamy sauce, and the delightful crunch of Doritos. Perfect for family dinners!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 (10 oz) can cream of mushroom or chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 can diced green chilies (optional)
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese blend
  • 1 (9.75 oz) bag nacho cheese Doritos, slightly crushed
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • Sliced jalapeños (for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain the fat, then add taco seasoning and water. Simmer until thickened.
  2. Stir in the cream of mushroom or chicken soup, sour cream, and green chilies (if using). Mix until creamy.
  3. In a greased 9×13 dish, layer 1/3 of the crushed Doritos, then 1/2 of the meat mixture, and 1/2 of the cheese. Repeat the layers, then top with the final Dorito layer and remaining cheese.
  4. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
  5. Top with diced tomatoes and sliced jalapeños. Serve hot!

Notes

Customize with your favorite toppings or add spice with jalapeños or hot sauce.
