Description

A fun and easy casserole combining crunchy Doritos, a flavorful beef mixture, and lots of cheese – perfect for family dinners or game day gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 (10 oz) can cream of mushroom or nacho cheese soup
  • 1 bag Nacho Cheese Doritos, slightly crushed
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced green chiles

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain the fat, then add the taco seasoning and water. Simmer until thickened.
  2. Stir in the soup and half of each cheese.
  3. In a greased casserole dish, layer half the crushed Doritos.
  4. Add the beef mixture, then the remaining cheese.
  5. Repeat the layers with the rest of the Doritos and beef mixture.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes, or until bubbly.
  7. Before serving, top with diced tomatoes and green chiles.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add more green chiles or hot sauce to the beef mixture. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days.
