- 1 pound broccoli florets
- 1/2 pound cauliflower florets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
- Add the broccoli and cauliflower florets, cooking until just tender, about 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top, followed by the breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding cooked bacon or ham. Swap in different cheeses or add extra vegetables for variety.
