Description

A hearty and comforting meal combining tender bowtie pasta with savory ground beef in a creamy cheese sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 (14.5 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 (8 oz) block Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Cook until fully browned.
  3. Pour the marinara sauce into the skillet with the beef. Stir to combine and bring to a light simmer. Add the Velveeta cubes and stir until melted and creamy.
  4. Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated in the cheese sauce.
  5. Stir in the mozzarella and let it melt into the warm pasta. Sprinkle Parmesan on top if desired.
  6. Garnish with freshly chopped basil and serve hot.

Notes

For a healthier twist, add veggies like bell peppers or spinach. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
