- 12 oz bowtie pasta
- 1 (14.5 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 1 (8 oz) block Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Cook until fully browned.
- Pour the marinara sauce into the skillet with the beef. Stir to combine and bring to a light simmer. Add the Velveeta cubes and stir until melted and creamy.
- Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated in the cheese sauce.
- Stir in the mozzarella and let it melt into the warm pasta. Sprinkle Parmesan on top if desired.
- Garnish with freshly chopped basil and serve hot.
Notes
For a healthier twist, add veggies like bell peppers or spinach. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
