- 12 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, marinara sauce, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, sliced pepperoni, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh basil if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. This dish can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
