- 1 cup chopped pecans

- 1/2 cup caramel sauce, plus extra for drizzling
- 1 cup banana slices (for topping)
- Extra pecans (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour four 7-inch cake pans.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Mix in the mashed bananas and sour cream until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped pecans.
- Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans and smooth the tops.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- To assemble, place the first layer on a serving plate, add frosting, then repeat with the second layer. Add the third layer on top and drizzle with caramel sauce.
- Garnish with banana slices and chopped pecans. Drizzle with more caramel sauce for extra sweetness. Enjoy your decadent cake!
