Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Line a 9-inch springform or square baking pan with parchment paper.
- Make the brownie batter: In a bowl, whisk the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing well. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined. Spread this mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Make the cheesecake layer: Beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until creamy and smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until fully combined. Pour this cheesecake mixture gently over the brownie batter.
- Add the caramel swirl: Drizzle the caramel sauce over the cheesecake layer. Use a skewer or knife to swirl it gently for marbling effect.
- Bake: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes or until the center is set and the edges are golden. After baking, turn off the oven, crack the door, and let it cool inside for about 15 minutes.
- Chill: Carefully transfer the cheesecake to the fridge and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Serve: When ready, slice the cheesecake and drizzle with extra caramel sauce if desired. Enjoy!
