Description
A sweet and creamy caramel frosting that adds a delicious flavor to any dessert.

- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 to 3 cups powdered sugar (as needed for consistency)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
- Add the brown sugar and stir constantly until dissolved.
- Slowly add the milk while stirring continuously.
- Increase heat to medium and bring to a gentle boil.
- Allow to boil for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well after each addition until desired consistency is reached.
- Stir in vanilla extract if using.
- Use immediately to frost cakes or cupcakes.
Notes
Store any leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Warm it up slightly before using.
