Description

A delicious dessert combining the creamy richness of cheesecake with sweet, tart apple pie flavor and a drizzle of decadent caramel.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham crackers, crumbled fine
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups canned apple pie filling
  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup caramel topping
  • 1/2 cup apple pie filling, canned or homemade

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers and melted butter until the crumbs are fully coated. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 7-inch springform pan.
  3. Spoon 1 1/2 cups of apple pie filling over the crust and spread it evenly.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until fluffy. Add sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs, mixing until smooth. Pour this mixture over the apple pie filling.
  5. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until the center is set. Let it cool to room temperature in the pan.
  6. In a saucepan, combine the remaining 1/2 cup of apple pie filling and caramel topping over medium heat until warm. Spoon this over the cooled cheesecake.
  7. Chill the cheesecake in the refrigerator before serving.

Notes

Top with whipped cream or extra caramel sauce. Serve chilled for best flavor.
