  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (or cheese sauce)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 toasted burger buns

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sauté the diced onions until they become soft.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Stir in the Cajun seasoning and smoked paprika.
  3. Next, add the shredded chicken, tomato sauce, and chicken broth to the skillet. Let it simmer for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream (or cheese sauce) and continue to simmer until the mixture becomes thick and creamy.
  5. While the sauce simmers, toast the burger buns until they are golden.
