A delightful appetizer featuring creamy burrata cheese paired with tender, herbed zucchini, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ball fresh burrata cheese
  • 2 small zucchinis (sliced into half-moons)
  • 23 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano (or Italian seasoning)
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil (chopped + extra for garnish)
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 slice toasted rustic bread (ciabatta or sourdough)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add zucchini slices and sauté for 3–4 minutes until just tender.
  3. Stir in garlic, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook another 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Place burrata in the center of a serving dish or skillet and surround it with the sautéed zucchini.
  5. Drizzle with more olive oil and scatter fresh basil on top.
  6. Serve immediately with toasted bread.

Notes

Make sure the zucchini is sliced evenly for even cooking. Adjust red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
