Description

A delicious dessert combining a rich brownie base with a creamy cheesecake topping, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 (18-ounce) box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on the back of the box)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions and fold in the chocolate chips if using.
  3. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  5. Add the sour cream, eggs, and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  6. Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled brownie layer and bake at 325°F (160°C) for 45-50 minutes. Cool in the oven for 1 hour.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight. Once chilled, remove from the pan, garnish if desired, slice, and enjoy.

Notes

For best results, allow the brownie layer to cool completely before adding the cheesecake layer. You can also add different flavors to the cheesecake filling as variations.
