- 1 (18-ounce) box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on the back of the box)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 16 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions and fold in the chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the sour cream, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
- Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled brownie layer and bake at 325°F (160°C) for 45-50 minutes.
- Cool in the oven for 1 hour, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Once chilled, remove from the pan, garnish if desired, slice, and enjoy.
Notes
Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing. You can use different flavors for the cheesecake filling.
