- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Sauté the chopped onion in butter until soft.
- Stir in the flour and cook for another minute.
- Slowly add the milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Add the broccoli florets and shredded cheddar cheese; cook until broccoli is soft and cheese is melted.
Notes
For a smoother texture, use an immersion blender after adding the broccoli. You can also add cooked chicken or other vegetables for variation.
