Description

Delicious and healthy broccoli balls baked in the oven, perfect for a snack or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups of broccoli flowers, finely chopped
  • 3 cups of grated cheese (Cheddar, Mozzarella, or Parmesan)
  • 1 cup of Panko crumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of chopped garlic
  • 2 medium beaten eggs
  • Freshly ground black salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it slightly.
  2. Steam or blanch the broccoli flowers until tender, approximately 4 minutes. Drain and let cool, then chop into small pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the chopped broccoli, grated cheese, Panko crumbs, chopped onion, chopped garlic, beaten eggs, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and crispy on the outside.

Notes

These broccoli balls can be served with various dipping sauces like Ranch or Marinara. They can also be frozen and reheated later.
