Description
A delicious and comforting dish featuring bowtie pasta coated in a creamy Velveeta beef sauce, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (16 oz) block of Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 (8 oz) block of cream cheese, softened
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 can (10 oz) Rotel tomatoes with chilies, undrained
- 1 to 1.25 pounds ground beef
- 1 box (12 oz) bowtie pasta (farfalle)
- (Optional) 1 cup reserved pasta water, to thin the sauce if needed
Instructions
- Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions, drain and set aside reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add cream of chicken soup, Rotel tomatoes, Velveeta cheese, and cream cheese to the skillet. Stir and cook over medium heat until melted and creamy.
- Add the cooked bowtie pasta and stir to coat in the sauce. If too thick, add reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- Continue cooking for 2-3 more minutes to allow the sauce to thicken and flavors to blend together.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley or Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding chopped onions or bell peppers when cooking the beef. To make it spicier, use spicy Rotel tomatoes.
