Ingredients

  • 2 cups blueberries (plus 1⁄4 cup for garnish)
  • 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
  • 1 1⁄2 cups water
  • 3 tbsp dried lavender
  • 1 1⁄2 cups lemon juice
  • 6 cups filtered water
  • Fresh mint (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Make the Blueberry Lavender Syrup: In a medium saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, water, and dried lavender. Cook over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes. Mash the blueberries and cook for another 5 minutes.
  2. Strain the Syrup: Use a fine mesh sieve to strain the mixture into a heat-safe bowl, pressing firmly to extract as much juice as possible.
  3. Continue to Cook: Pour the syrup back into the saucepan and cook for another 10 minutes to thicken. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  4. Mix the Lemonade: In a pitcher, mix lemon juice, filtered water, and blueberry lavender syrup. Stir well to combine.
  5. Garnish & Chill: Add the remaining blueberries and fresh mint leaves for garnish. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve chilled.

Notes

Use fresh blueberries for the best flavor. Adjust sugar to taste and avoid overcooking the syrup.
