A delicious twist on the classic BLT featuring tender shredded chicken, crispy bacon, fresh tomatoes, and creamy cheese, all in golden-buttered artisan bread.
Ingredients

- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 8 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked crisp
- 1–2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
- 4 slices cheddar or American cheese
- 8 slices artisan or sourdough bread
- Butter (for grilling)
- Pickles or chips (for serving)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cooked shredded chicken, mayonnaise, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and chopped green onions. Chill the mixture if you like it cold.
- Butter one side of each bread slice. Grill the buttered side down in a skillet until golden and crispy. If you want melted cheese, add a slice to one side while still warm.
- Take two slices of toasted bread and layer on the chicken salad, crispy bacon strips, and fresh tomato slices. Top with the cheesy bread.
- Cut the sandwich in half and serve warm with pickle spears or chips on the side.
Notes
For extra flavor, add chopped celery or lettuce to the chicken salad. Use different cheeses for variety.
