Description

A classic dessert that combines rich chocolate flavors with the tartness of cherries. Perfect for celebrations or a special treat!


Ingredients

  • 3 layers of chocolate cake
  • 70% dark chocolate (for curls and decoration)
  • 1 cup kirsch (cherry schnapps)
  • Whipped cream
  • Cherries (for topping)
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake by mixing flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, eggs, milk, and melted butter. Pour the mixture into three round pans and bake until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Once the cakes are cooled, soak each layer with kirsch to add flavor and moisture.
  3. Whip the cream until soft peaks form, adding sugar and vanilla to taste for sweetness.
  4. Layer the cake by spreading whipped cream and cherries in between each of the three layers.
  5. Frost the top and sides of the cake with the remaining whipped cream.
  6. Decorate the cake with chocolate curls and cherries on top for a beautiful presentation.

Notes

Store in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days. Use high-quality dark chocolate for best results.
