A delightful fusion of biscuits and sausage gravy, topped with melted cheese, perfect for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits (Grands-style recommended)
  • 1/2 lb breakfast sausage
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Flatten and press the biscuits together on a greased pizza pan to form a crust, slightly building up the edges. Pre-bake the crust for 8–10 minutes.
  2. In a skillet, brown the sausage over medium heat. Do not drain the fat.
  3. Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and stir for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in the milk. Add black pepper and garlic powder if using. Simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the biscuit crust. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and a few extra sausage bits on top.
  5. Return to the oven and bake for another 10–12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Top with chopped parsley, slice, and enjoy warm!
