Description

A hearty and comforting dish perfect for breakfast or brunch, combining creamy sausage gravy, crispy hashbrowns, and fluffy biscuits topped with melted cheddar cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 package frozen hashbrowns
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can biscuits

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage until browned. Add flour and stir for 1 minute. Gradually add milk, stirring until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a greased casserole dish, layer the hashbrowns and pour the sausage gravy over them.
  4. Top with cut-up biscuits and shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until biscuits are golden and cheese is melted.
  6. Serve hot.

Notes

Best served hot, pairs well with fresh fruit or salad. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for 2 months.
