- 300 milliliters warm water (1 1/2 cups)
- 1 teaspoon salt (7 grams)
- 1 egg
- All-purpose flour (approximately 3-4 cups, as needed)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm water and salt until dissolved.
- Add the egg and stir well.
- Gradually add flour to the mixture until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll each one out into a flat circle.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and cook each flatbread for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Brush with olive oil if desired and serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for about a week. Freeze for up to 3 months.
