Ingredients

  • 300 milliliters warm water (1 1/2 cups)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (7 grams)
  • 1 egg
  • All-purpose flour (approximately 3-4 cups, as needed)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water and salt until dissolved.
  2. Add the egg and stir well.
  3. Gradually add flour to the mixture until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each one out into a flat circle.
  6. Heat a pan over medium heat and cook each flatbread for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Brush with olive oil if desired and serve warm.
