- 8 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti)
- 1/2 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (for marinating)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 red bell pepper, julienned
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Marinate Beef: Toss the sliced steak with cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce. Let it sit for 10–15 minutes.
- Prep Noodles: Cook the lo mein noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Stir-Fry: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Cook the beef until browned, then set aside.
- Veggies: In the same pan, sauté minced garlic for 1 minute. Add broccoli, red bell pepper, and carrot; cook until crisp-tender.
- Combine: Return beef to the pan and add the cooked noodles along with the sauce mixture. Toss to combine and heat through.
- Serve: Garnish with sliced green onions and enjoy hot.
Notes
Slice beef thinly for quick cooking. You can add your favorite vegetables and adjust sauces to taste.
