Description

A popular and delicious dish featuring tender beef, colorful vegetables, and soft noodles, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti)
  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Toss the beef with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, and cornstarch. Let it sit for 10–15 minutes to soak up the flavors.
  2. Boil the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set them aside.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan. Add the marinated beef and sear it until browned. Remove it from the pan.
  4. In the same pan, stir-fry broccoli, bell pepper, garlic, and ginger for 3–4 minutes until the veggies are tender.
  5. Return the beef to the pan, add the cooked noodles, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and the remaining sesame oil. Toss everything well to combine and heat through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds on top.

Notes

Slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness. Adjust vegetables to your preference.
