- 12 oz rotini pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the rotini pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat and set the beef aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Pour in the heavy cream and beef broth, stirring to combine. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese, stirring continuously until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
- Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet, stirring to coat it in the sauce.
- Add the drained rotini pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together until fully combined.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For a lighter version, use ground turkey instead of beef. You can also add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for added nutrition.
