  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the rotini pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat and set the beef aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and beef broth, stirring to combine. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  7. Add the Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese, stirring continuously until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  8. Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet, stirring to coat it in the sauce.
  9. Add the drained rotini pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together until fully combined.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a lighter version, use ground turkey instead of beef. You can also add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for added nutrition.
