Ingredients

  • 1 cup ground beef
  • 1 small potato, diced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 pack empanada dough or pastry
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the ground beef, chopped onion, and diced potatoes in a skillet over medium heat. Add cumin, salt, and pepper until the meat is browned and the potatoes are tender.
  2. Take the empanada dough and fill each circle with a spoonful of the beef mixture. Seal the edges firmly.
  3. Bake the empanadas in a preheated oven or fry them in hot oil until they are golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator or frozen for longer storage.
