Description
A simple and creamy cheesecake made in a loaf pan, perfect for gatherings or a sweet treat at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs (about 6 crackers)
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- Fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, etc.) – optional
- Whipped cream – optional
- Chocolate ganache – optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and melted butter until combined. Press this mixture into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes and then let cool.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and 1/3 cup of sugar until smooth. Add the egg, vanilla extract, sour cream, and flour, mixing until smooth.
- Pour the filling over the cooled crust. Place the loaf pan in a larger baking dish and add hot water halfway up the sides. Bake for 40-50 minutes.
- Allow cheesecake to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Lift the cheesecake out using the parchment and slice it. Serve with your choice of toppings.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese is softened for better mixing. A water bath helps to prevent cracking during baking.
