Description

A simple and creamy cheesecake made in a loaf pan, perfect for gatherings or a sweet treat at home.


Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs (about 6 crackers)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • Fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, etc.) – optional
  • Whipped cream – optional
  • Chocolate ganache – optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and melted butter until combined. Press this mixture into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes and then let cool.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and 1/3 cup of sugar until smooth. Add the egg, vanilla extract, sour cream, and flour, mixing until smooth.
  4. Pour the filling over the cooled crust. Place the loaf pan in a larger baking dish and add hot water halfway up the sides. Bake for 40-50 minutes.
  5. Allow cheesecake to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  6. Lift the cheesecake out using the parchment and slice it. Serve with your choice of toppings.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is softened for better mixing. A water bath helps to prevent cracking during baking.
