Description
Barbecue Bacon Pizza adds a delightful twist to your regular pizza night with smoky flavors, cheesy goodness, and crispy bacon.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pre-made or homemade pizza dough
- 1/2 cup smoky barbecue sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 6 strips bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the pizza dough on parchment paper to your desired shape.
- Spread the smoky barbecue sauce evenly over the crust. On top, layer the mozzarella cheese, chopped bacon, and thinly sliced red onion.
- Transfer the pizza to a baking sheet or stone. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling, and the crust turns golden brown.
- Once out of the oven, drizzle more barbecue sauce over the top and garnish with chopped parsley.
- Slice the pizza while hot and enjoy the smoky, cheesy goodness!
Notes
Pre-cook the bacon until crispy for the best texture. Use a pizza stone for a crunchier crust. Feel free to add other toppings like jalapeños, bell peppers, or grilled chicken for more flavor.
