- 1 box of vanilla cake mix
- 3 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup of whipped cream
- 1 cup of strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup of pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup of chocolate syrup
- 1/2 cup of chopped nuts (optional)
- Maraschino cherries for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to cake mix directions and prepare the cake mix as directed. Bake the cake in a 9×13 inch pan. Let it cool completely.
- Once cooled, slice the cake horizontally into two layers. Place one layer on a serving platter.
- Spread half of the whipped cream over the first layer of cake, then top with half of the sliced bananas, strawberries, and pineapple.
- Drizzle with chocolate syrup and sprinkle with nuts if using.
- Place the second layer of cake on top and repeat the process with the remaining whipped cream, fruits, and chocolate syrup.
- Garnish with maraschino cherries on top.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
