Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare four 7-inch cake pans by greasing and flouring them.
- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the mashed bananas and sour cream to the mixture, stirring until well combined.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients, mixing just until everything is combined.
- Fold in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans and smooth the tops.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

- Once cooled, layer the cakes with frosting between each layer.
