Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 34 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup crushed cookies

Instructions

  1. Mix the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and press them into a baking dish to form a crust.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, flour, and milk. Cook over medium heat while stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  3. Beat the egg yolks in a bowl and gradually add them to the thickened mixture. Cook for 2 more minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. Stir in the butter and vanilla extract and let the custard cool down.
  5. Slice the bananas and layer them over the crust in the baking dish.
  6. Pour the custard over the bananas and spread it evenly.
  7. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle crushed cookies on top.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
