  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup toasted walnuts
  • Drizzle of honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract, mashed bananas, and sour cream.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool completely before frosting.
  9. For the frosting, in a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  10. Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon, then beat until creamy.
