Balsamic Strawberry Caprese

Description

A refreshing twist on the classic Caprese salad, combining strawberries, mozzarella, and basil, drizzled with balsamic glaze.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and hull the strawberries, then slice them into thin, even pieces.
  2. Slice the fresh mozzarella into rounds approximately the same thickness as the strawberries.
  3. On a serving platter, alternate layers of strawberry slices, mozzarella slices, and fresh basil leaves.
  4. Drizzle the balsamic glaze evenly over the salad.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil and season with a pinch of salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
  6. Serve immediately as a refreshing appetizer or side dish.

Notes

Serve chilled or at room temperature. Best enjoyed the same day it’s made.
