Description
A delicious twist on the classic burger, featuring juicy ground turkey and sweet caramelized balsamic onions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp brown sugar (optional)
- Pinch of salt
- 4 brioche buns, toasted
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- Fresh arugula or mixed greens
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook slowly until soft and caramelized, about 10–12 minutes. Stir in balsamic vinegar and sugar, if using. Cook for 2 more minutes, then set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the ground turkey with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
- In a skillet or grill pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 5–6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Add provolone slices on top for the last minute of cooking.
- Start with a layer of greens on the bottom bun. Place the turkey patty on top, followed by the caramelized onions, and then add the top bun.
- Serve warm and enjoy that perfect balance of savory and sweet!
Notes
Store cooked patties in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat in the microwave or skillet before serving.
