Description

A delicious and easy dish that enhances the rich flavors of steak with a balsamic-garlic marinade.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Steak (your choice of cut)
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (optional, e.g., rosemary or thyme)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, olive oil, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, up to 4 hours.
  4. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  6. Grill or cook the steak to your preferred doneness, usually about 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare, depending on thickness.
  7. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For best texture, use a steak cut with some marbling. You can marinate longer (up to 4 hours) for more flavor.
