Ingredients
Scale
- Steak (your choice of cut)
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (optional, e.g., rosemary or thyme)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, olive oil, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Place the steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, up to 4 hours.
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade.
- Grill or cook the steak to your preferred doneness, usually about 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare, depending on thickness.
- Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
For best texture, use a steak cut with some marbling. You can marinate longer (up to 4 hours) for more flavor.
