Ingredients

- 1 lb white fish fillets (like cod or tilapia)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Corn tortillas
- Shredded cabbage
- Fresh cilantro
- Lime wedges
Instructions
- Season the fish with chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Dip the fish in buttermilk, then coat in a mixture of flour and cornmeal.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish until golden brown and cooked through.
- Warm the corn tortillas in a separate pan.
- Assemble the tacos by placing fried fish on tortillas, topping with shredded cabbage, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice.
Notes
Serve with papas fritas on the side. Store leftovers separately for best results.
