  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/4 cup Bailey’s Irish Cream
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cake layers: Bake and cool two layers of your favorite chocolate cake.
  2. Make the chocolate cheesecake layer: Beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth. Add flour, sour cream, eggs, vanilla extract, and Bailey’s Irish Cream, mixing well.
  3. Assemble the trifle: Place one cake layer in a trifle bowl. Spread with the chocolate cheesecake layer and top with the second cake layer.
  4. Freeze: Freeze the trifle for at least 240 minutes, or overnight.
  5. Make the chocolate ganache: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and heavy cream together in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Drizzle the ganache: Drizzle the chocolate ganache over the frozen trifle.
  7. Top with whipped cream: Beat the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Spread the whipped cream on top of the trifle.
