- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Optional: chopped pickles or green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Drain any excess fat.
- Divide the cooked rice between serving bowls.
- Spoon the cooked beef over the rice. Sprinkle with diced tomato and cover with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Microwave the bowls for 30 seconds or until the cheese melts, or broil them briefly to melt the cheese.
- Finish with crumbled bacon and any optional toppings. Serve hot!
Notes
Feel free to use brown rice or quinoa instead of white rice for a healthier option. Experiment with toppings like avocado or jalapeños for added flavor.
