- 12 oz ziti or elbow pasta, cooked and drained
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
- 6 strips cooked bacon, chopped
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef with the diced onion and minced garlic until browned. Drain excess grease. Add salt, pepper, and tomato sauce, then let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked pasta, beef mixture, sour cream, and half of the cheddar cheese.
- Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Top with the remaining cheddar, mozzarella, and chopped bacon.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and cheese is melted.
- Let it cool slightly and serve hot!
Notes
Serve with a simple green salad or garlic bread. Additional toppings like sliced pickles, diced tomatoes, or extra hot sauce can be provided.
