Description
Delicious twists on classic apple pie, these Apple Pie Bombs are easy to make and bursting with sweet apple filling.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (8-count) refrigerated biscuits
- 1 1/2 cups apple pie filling
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- Optional: Caramel sauce or vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- If using store-bought apple pie filling, chop the apple slices into smaller pieces and add extra cinnamon if desired.
- Flatten each biscuit into a circle about 4 inches wide and place 1-2 tablespoons of apple pie filling in the center of each circle.
- Fold the edges over the filling and pinch to seal tightly.
- Mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl. Brush each dough ball with melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Place the filled bombs seam-side down on the baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce, if desired.
Notes
Ensure biscuits are tightly sealed to prevent filling from leaking during baking. Experiment with spices for custom flavors.
