- 4 large eggs
- 200 g sugar
- 120 ml vegetable oil
- 180 ml warm milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 160 g wheat flour
- Cocoa powder (for chocolate flavor)
- Coffee filling ingredients: coffee, sugar, cream
- Cream for frosting
- Chocolate shavings (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F). Grease and flour a 20–22 cm cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add the vegetable oil and warm milk, mixing until combined.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, sift together the wheat flour and cocoa powder.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- Prepare the coffee filling by mixing coffee with sugar and cream until thick.
- Once the cake is cooled, slice it into layers and spread the coffee filling between each layer.
- Frost the top and sides of the cake with cream.
- Decorate with chocolate shavings.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Let the cake cool completely before adding the filling and frosting to avoid melting.
