Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 120 ml vegetable oil
  • 180 ml warm milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 160 g wheat flour
  • Cocoa powder (for chocolate flavor)
  • Coffee filling ingredients: coffee, sugar, cream
  • Cream for frosting
  • Chocolate shavings (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F). Grease and flour a 20–22 cm cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the vegetable oil and warm milk, mixing until combined.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, sift together the wheat flour and cocoa powder.
  6. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool completely.
  9. Prepare the coffee filling by mixing coffee with sugar and cream until thick.
  10. Once the cake is cooled, slice it into layers and spread the coffee filling between each layer.
  11. Frost the top and sides of the cake with cream.
  12. Decorate with chocolate shavings.
  13. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Let the cake cool completely before adding the filling and frosting to avoid melting.
