Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili paste (optional)
  • Rice paper wrappers
  • Vegetables for filling (like carrots, cucumbers, or bell peppers)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add garlic, soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and chili paste (if using) to the beef. Stir well and cook for another few minutes, then remove from heat.
  3. Prepare the rice paper wrappers according to package instructions.
  4. Lay a wrapper flat, add a portion of the beef mixture, a few basil leaves, and any additional vegetables.
  5. Roll the wrapper tightly, folding in the edges as you go.
  6. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
  7. Serve immediately with dipping sauce or refrigerate for later.
