Description
A quick and easy tiramisu recipe that combines rich mascarpone cheese with coffee-soaked ladyfingers in just 10 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups (360ml) cold heavy whipping cream
- 2/3 cup (65g) powdered sugar or 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1 package (8oz) mascarpone cheese, at room temperature
- 1 cup (237ml) strongly brewed coffee or espresso
- 1/2 package ladyfingers (Savoiardi)
- 2 tbsp (15g) unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, add the whipping cream and beat on medium for about 1 minute. Sift in the powdered sugar, add the vanilla, and mix until soft peaks form. Mix in the mascarpone cheese and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
- Pour the coffee or espresso into a shallow bowl. Quickly dip the ladyfingers in the coffee and arrange them in a single layer in an 8×8 pan, being careful not to soak them too long.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, then add another layer of coffee-soaked ladyfingers on top. Spread or pipe the remaining mascarpone cream over the top.
- Refrigerate for at least 3-4 hours, or overnight. Once set, dust a generous amount of cocoa powder over the top and slice to serve.
Notes
For best results, use cold heavy whipping cream and freshly brewed coffee or espresso. Adjust sweetness to your preference.
